At the top of each of the region viewer window, you should see a scalebar. The text within the scalebar indicates the length of the white line in the scale of the image.

If your input device supports scrolling, you can scroll down to zoom in, or scroll up to zoom out. If you do not have a mouse with this feature, or you would prefer to have more fine grained control of your zoom level, you can click on the text showing the current scale.

Clicking on this text will allow you to see and edit the current zoom level. The zoom level will update after you hit enter or click outside the box.

The displayed zoom percentage is on a linear scale, where 100% represents the level where one pixel of the region’s image is the size of one screen pixel.

Clicking on the ruler icon will allow you to measure the distance between two points in an image. Once selected, the ruler icon will turn green, indicating that you are in measurement mode.

In measurement mode, click and drag on the image to create a measurement. You may create several measurements. Click on the ruler icon again to clear your measurements.
