In Code Ocean, your compute capsules, pipelines, and data assets are private and secure to you until you share them with other users on the deployment. Please be careful when selecting which users to share assets with because:

• Each user has a randomized email address to ensure personal and organizational anonymity
• Users from multiple organizations are present on our Code Ocean deployment

Due to these two points above:

1. It’s easier to make a mistake when selecting which random user name to share something with

• If you have colleagues in your organization who also have an Enable Workbench subscription, and you would like to share something on Code Ocean with them, please contact them to ask for their randomized email address.

2. You should never share something by giving “General Access” to anyone in the organization, as shown below

A note about the collections area in Code Ocean

Please note that anything you add to the Collections area of Code Ocean will only be visible to those users that you’ve shared the asset with and no one else.
