Key terminology used on the Enable Cloud Platform:

• Study
  • A study acts is a container for analysis. You can pull image files and clinical metadata from your Atlas into a study, and then perform data analysis runs and generate results from within that study.
• Experiment
  • An experiment is a set of image data uploaded to the Enable Cloud Platform. This data can be shared, visualized, and pulled into studies for analysis. Often, it’s useful to use Experiments as a surrogate for batches, acquisition runs, or slides.
• Sample
  • A “Sample” refers to an embedded tissue section or serial sections derived from a single tissue sample
• Region
  • A processed image data file in TIFF format associated with a tissue sample
  • Multiple image regions can be associated with a single sample
