Last, you need to define the groups you want to compare.
Clicking on the cohort 1 dropdown opens a list of clinical metadata variables associated with your study.
After clicking on a metadata trait, a dropdown menu allows you to select which values of that trait you want to define that cohort.
You can select multiple metadata traits to filter on (e.g. disease grade and therapy response).
Finally, you can assign custom names to each cohort.
Once you have chosen your cohorts, click the Launch Explorer button.
